Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Training
Our training program aligns with OSHA's training requirements, covering typical hazards, stability principles, anatomy, maintenance, inspections, and safe operations. This course is aligned and meets the OSHA standard training requirements to cover OSHA 29 CFR 1910.178 Powered Industrial Truck Standard, OSHA 29 CFR 1926.602 — Material Handling Equipment, ASME/ANSI B56.1-2020 — Safety Standard for Low and High Lift Trucks. The topics covered during this course will include overview of the Course/Introduction to the Equipment, regulations, types of Industrial Trucks, anatomy, daily and pre-use inspections, stability principles, driving a load, common hazards/accident profiles, safe operations, fueling and charging, safe practices, and driving safety.
In order to successfully complete this training, the participant must be able to demonstrate proficiency in both a practice and written examination.
